Goodbye Halong Bay

Once the family was back from the caves we took a boat to an island and swam in the warm water until dusk. Then prior to dinner Elijah and Sophie boogied away while Tremain and myself learnt how to make deep fried spring rolls. All the meals on board were lavish with lots of little plates of traditional Vietnamese fare, dinner was no exception. After a busy day the kids were quickly asleep so Karl and I got to retire to the top deck to enjoy a beer under a red full moon and the twinkling lights of the other boats in the bay. This morning we got to participate in a Tai Chi lesson on the main deck before I took Tremain and Sophie Kayaking in a cave to a small Cove to see small monkeys playing in the trees. Our trip ended with a late brunch and we are now in our van back to Hanoi for the much anticipated night train to Hue...
